“uleskiy mir” is the translation of Russian for free young lady, but it can be a lot more than that. It is a story book that explains to the tale of a small Russian girlfriend who becomes a ship captain in the US, setting sail to America raft, raise anchor the Rydvecks. On this mail they come across a series of ventures that are place against the backdrop of World War II. They also encounter life on the shipping boat in the Pacific Ocean, where anything goes relating to method as the ship sails to faraway ports on the far east seacoast of America. On her voyage back to Spain, this Russian free lady comes to snooze on Alaska and starts to dream of an excellent return to Russian federation…
Now i’m not sure what prompted me personally to pick this book up. Maybe because it trapped my fascination, even though My spouse and i read a couple of books about Rydvecks and their crew and the life relating to the sea before this one. Might be it was since I’ve always wanted to live in an eastern european Sport fishing Village (if that’s the actual call them) and visit them when i am near your vicinity on organization. Whatever the reason, I just enjoyed this book very much and found myself appreciating each of its seventy-one short chapters, which are easy to follow and never bore me.
The author tells it the same is — honest and entertaining. And yet, at the same time, I could go through the book experienced some cultural information and history behind it. There were portions that reminded me of a few popular Russian stories I’d personally heard although never troubled to read so far. Oleg, for example, had a few absolutely horrendous family complications nevertheless he even now managed to absolutely adore his wife.
